365 Project - Week 52.

365 Project - take a photo a day for a whole year..... DONE! I was unsure whether to commit to taking a photo every day for a year but as I take so many photos I thought it wouldn't be too hard, I was actually more worried about getting round to getting them all up on the blog! Aaron said I'd manage 2 weeks at best which I thought was a bit rubbish and so spurred on by the Queen of 365 - The Boy and Me I decided to give it a go. I've done it (I may have missed one day, I got a bit confused with the numbering somewhere in August but it may just be the numbers rather than a photo missing, I neither know nor care!) and I'd never do it again! From October it started feeling a little like wading through treacle and it seemed so near yet so far till Day 365, to be honest if I wasn't such good friends with TBAM I'd have given up right then but she kept her foot firmly on my backside and I carried on! So, here we go 365 done and dusted and here are the last ...

365 Project - Week 48

Sleepy boy Another beach path walk, it's a great time of year for it. Leo's first visit to Santa where I haven't had to sit with him, He loved talking to him and getting his present but looked all sad when we came out, I asked him why and he said but Santa didn't give me what I'd asked for?   So cute!  He was quite relived when I explained that he doesn't bring the proper presents until Christmas. Christmas lights switch on in Agia Napa, I love that the festive season starts now - not October or early November, no huge over commercialized run up here!

365 Project - Week 45

All pooped out after two nights of Halloween celebrations ! An afternoon walk along the beach path, I can never resist a pretty sky photo! Leo came home from school with this today, translates to something like 'Cyprus, my beautiful homeland' Louka, trying to get in the cupboards AGAIN! I want to do it myself Mum! As Aaron was working so much and we pretty much missed his birthday, I arranged a surprise party in the local pub. He had no idea it was going to happen! Sunday morning walk in the park - we never find piles of autumn leaves here but the boys enjoyed playing with the dried out fallen petals instead!

285 - Leo loves 'Jake and the Neverland Pirates at the moment so when invited to a 'Pirates and Princesses' party I raided his wardrobe and came up with this creation, he loved it! I also dressed Louka as 'Cubby' and myself as 'Izzy'! 286 - Colouring time 287 -  Not the best photo, but I realised it was the only one I took all day! 288 - Swingball - a bargain buy from the market and a whole lot of laughs as Leo kept getting hit in the side of the head with the ball, luckily he found it quite funny! 289 -  'Ammochostas Then and Now'  - a display by the children of Leo's school showing the city of Varosha which is closed off to everyone since the Turkish invasion in 1974 290 - One of those 'late night 'I forgot to take any photos' type photo today - my week old birthday balloons. 291 - "Ah yes, this is the one I was looking for" - I'm pleased that he love his books, but does he reall...

278 - Now the season is coming to an end and things are quieting down, Aaron took Leo to work with him so he could help out.  Leo had a brilliant day and helped wash all the vehicles and got to ride on them. 279 - Another gorgeous Cyprus sunrise, I just can't help but take a photo! 280 -  Not sure how this can be a comfortable position to watch tv in but Leo was like this for ages! 281 - Leo really likes my Mum's new rug! 282 - Feeding time! 283 - My birthday 284 - Admiring their plants which they planted a few weeks ago

365 Project - week 40

272 - Taking Nana for a walk in the sea 273 - Leo's painting on the wall at school.  (The writing says 'I love school') 274 - Cooler and sometimes darker mornings now on the school run.  Leo actually asked to wear a coat today - never mind that the temperature was 30 degrees just an hour or so later! 275 - Louka was more interested in taking the crayons out of the pack and putting them back than doing any colouring! 276 - Painting a tree, we drew round his hand and arm and he painted that brown for the tree trunk.  I suggested the colours for the leaves and he wanted blue - I questioned the choice and he sighed and said 'Stop telling me what to do all the time'!   Blue leaves it was then! 277 - Not the best photo by far but  I love it as it was taken at our friends wedding. It's been a long time since Aaron and I have been out and it was lovely to see so many people we've not seen for ages.
