Questions in Quarantine

Image
During lock down when facebook wasn't full of COVID posts there were several question and answer posts doing the rounds,  one was a list of questions to ask your child.  I asked the boys but didn't put it on facebook,  not when there's a blog post to be made of it!  I've had the answers written down for months now so thought I would share.  Leo was first, and as usual was very literal and slightly sarcastic in his answers   1. If you won a million pounds, what would you buy? Nothing because I'm not in England.  2. How long does it take to get to America? Depends from where and how you are travelling. 3. What does Mummy always say to you? "Love you"  or "Leave me alone I'm eating" 4. What job would you like to do when you're older? A good one, that pays well and I enjoy 5. What is the capital of England? 'E'   (then after my rolling my eyes and repeating the question with the word city in it )  London 6. Where do babies come from?...

It's been a while since I've written an 'About me' post and when I saw this on Mum Reinvented's blog I thought I'd give it a go and kickstart my blog again in the process. Maybe it's an expat thing or perhaps it's because we are close in age but it turns out we are quite similar, I cut and pasted the questions and as I wrote my answers in place of hers there were a surprising amount of similarities!  1. What’s your favourite movie? I'm really not a film fan and I'm forever saying 'No, I've not seen that'  to hundreds of 'must see' films.   It's quite rare for me to see a film more than once if at all so anything I've watched many times has to be classed as a favourite - so I'd have to say Back to the Future, or Shaun of the Dead as the first that come to mind! 2. Favourite movie in the past five years? I'm really struggling with this one, I watch so few films these days(even less than I once did!)  ...

Interview with a 3 year old - Video Update!

Image
Just after Leo's birthday I decided to 'interview' him. I also passed the idea onto my blogging friends who then actually came up with the better idea of videoing the boys as they answered. After watching   Burton,   Charles and The Boy 's videos, I couldn't resist doing it myself.  As I expected, some of the answers changed, and some were just quite random.... the best being 'What is your favourite thing to wear?'

Questions and answers

One thing I love about reading other blogs and being part of the 'blog world' is the that just when you are wondering what to blog about someone handily hands you a blog post on a plate, as Multiple Mummy had tagged me in 'Questions and Answers' She has written 11 questions for me to answer and then challenged me to do the same for others.  1. Apart from your children what is your greatest accomplishment? Oh, I hate this question!  I guess moving to a new country and making a new circle of friends and feeling like I am at home is quite an accomplishment. 2. What is your favourite beverage? Cocktails, containing any or all the the following...... mailbu, vodka, barcadi, fruit juice, grenadine.   Or right now Mcdonalds Milkshakes! 3. Why do you blog? Because I love it! I didn't imagine I'd still be going over 2 years on when I first started and I certainly didn't think it would be so rewarding, enjoyable.... and addictive, maybe the rea...

10 Questions

There is another meme doing the rounds at the moment and I've tagged by Jenny from Mummy Mishaps . 1. Describe yourself in seven words. Enthusiastic, loyal, inpatient, persistent, talkative, frustrated, sociable.  2. What keeps you awake at night? Not much, usually I sleep very well but these days it's not so much Leo waking up rather the thought that he is about to wake up! I can lie in bed for ages thinking he's probably going to wake up any second, sometimes he does, sometimes it an be an hour or two later but I still do it! 3. If  you could be anyone for a day who would you be and why? I think I'd be Leo, it would be fascinating to see the world through his eyes and be able to have the best time ever by playing with a box or jumping on some squares. It would be interesting to better understand how annoying it must be to be 2 years old and to see things from his point of view. 4. What are you wearing now? Pyjama's, big fluffy dressing gown and slipper boots...
