The Christmas Present Hunt

Image
After a month of chocolate for breakfast and increasing excitement Christmas day finally dawned. I really hadn't slept well - I was so convinced that one of the boys would wake up and demand to get up at some stupid hour that I was waking up with every little noise all night long.  I heard Leo go to the bathroom at 5:30am and was expecting him to come in, or at least go and look to see the presents but he went straight back to bed! Eventually I heard Louka come out and as I lay listening for the reaction Leo jumped out of bed to show him and explain.  I walked down the hall and loved hearing Leo show Louka that Santa had eaten the mince pies and drank the 'Maximoki'  (it's their name for Whisky - I have no idea where it came from!) The boys had been desperately hoping for Lego Dimensions, which was literally the only thing they asked for.  I had asked many times if there was anything else they would like and both would look at me blankly in reply. Personalised in Cyprus - product review

Leo's party theme this year was the subject of much debate between him and I, originally going to be 'Superheroes' and then eventually (after a quick peek on pinterest!) became Lego.  With a bit of teamwork going on, Aaron and I came up with a brilliant Lego Party for him and he enjoyed every second of it, playing with his friends and receiving some lovely presents.  One of his favourties was his very own 'Leo / Lego' superhero t-shirt from Personalised in Cyprus  Like on the invitations Aaron made using the Lego font for his name and featuring one of his favourite superheroes, it was always going to be a winner with him.  Leo is most impressed that Leo is Lego without the G! We were already fans of Personalised in Cyprus since receiving two of their products for review by the Famagusta Parents Network and it was the first place I thought of for presents from the boys and I for my Dad when Father's Day and his birthday approached. A metal...

The Cake free 'Birthday Cake'

Image
It can be so hard to think of good gift ideas for birthdays, especially here in Cyprus without the variety of shops we've been used to in the UK and for someone like my Dad who doesn't really need anything as such.  So when I saw this fab idea on pinterest  I thought I'd give it a go. It's so easy to make.... obviously as homemade stuff is not generally my strong point! You need..... An empty 2 litre coke (or similar ) bottle - cut the top off so it sits flat 8 cans 12 -14 mini choc bars ribbon Tape Cake board candle Start by placing the bottle upside down on the board, and place the cans around it.  Tape them all together so they don't keep moving around. Place the chocolate bars around the top in the same way. Cover with ribbon. I used a bit of blue tack to secure my candle but you could make a hole in the top of the bottle instead. There you go, an easy yet effective gift that will always be appreciated! ...
